Dinner and Story Slam at Elma
Enjoy an incredible curated menu for dinner at Elma, a Turkish inspired restaurant on the lakefront in Penticton, BC, before listening to readings from WCWF featured guests, Susan Juby, C.E. Gatchalian, and Janie Chang. Attendees will be able to participate in the Story & Poetry Slam as the evening continues, where they can read their work aloud for mini awards and prizes. Each reader will receive one. Dinner is included in ticket price.

Live Action Slush Pile at Okanagan College

The Live Action Slush pile is an opportunity to have the first page of your manuscript read aloud and to receive feedback from a panel of judges. This year’s judges are JM Landels, Mel Anastasiou, and Sierra Louie from Pulp Literature.
How it works:
- You get to submit the first page of your manuscript (printed, one sided, and double spaced), one entry per person
- Entries are shuffled into a pile and pulled randomly, then read out loud by a reader to a panel of judges
- A panel of judges listen and put their hands up when they would stop reading (if they would), once the majority of judges raises their hands the reading stops and they each give feedback/critique on the piece
- You can claim your piece at the end or leave it anonymous
