WCWF brings writers, readers, and literary enthusiasts together through live events, workshops, performances, and networking opportunities—celebrating creativity while strengthening the literary culture of the Okanagan and beyond.

We champion connection over competition, offer space for both learning and celebration, and welcome storytellers from every background and stage.

Purpose:

The Wine Country Writers’ Festival Society is a non-profit society based in Penticton, British Columbia. Established in 2022, the purposes of the society are to:

i. Provide an opportunity for amateur writers to come together, meet, learn, and build community at an organized event

ii. To foster an appreciation of all types of written and spoken arts.

iii. To enhance and encourage the literary cultures and talents of writers
