Michael V. Smith writes and teaches across many creative genres. A professor at UBC’s Okanagan campus in Kelowna, BC, Smith teaches poetry, fiction, screenwriting, spoken word, editing and publishing, and writing with digital media. Winner of many prizes for film and writing both, Smith was also named a UBCO Researcher of the Year in 2025.
