Blue Pencils and Pitches are Filling Up

Hello all you lovely writers.

I just want to touch base and let you know that if you’re interested in doing a pitch or a blue pencil, the spots are assigned on a first come/first served basis.

The selection should have been made when you registered.

If you registered early and want to change then email Faye at wcwfestival@gmail.com

There’s no guarantee that something can be changed, but we did add Douglas and McIntyre and Imagine Press just a few weeks ago.

Prairie Soul is now full and will not be taking anymore pitches at the WCWF. Same for Jen Landels.

Christina Myers is full for blue pencils.

BUT… The good news is that there are still many openings. Make sure you put a couple of choices down when you register.

And pitches…. there’s still some space available.

Blue Pencil appointments and instruction will be sent out in mid August.

Blue pencils put another set of eyes on your work and can be so helpful as you move forward in a project. If you can’t get the person you want, move on to the next–it still makes a difference.

Registration is open. Blue pencils and pitch are free with paid registration on fcfs basis.

Price is now $159. Increase in August to $179.

What is a Writing Festival?

The Wine Country Writers’ Festival is all about community and connection!

There’s something for everyone. It’s a safe space where you can be the writer you are, or want to be, without fear of judgement or reprisal.

It’s a place to learn, share, and build writer community connections that can really support you through any type of writing career.

No experience necessary. Be you. All you gotta do is register, pay, and show up… We’ll take care of all the other stuff.

Come follow us on Social Media @wcwfestival

Hope to see you in September.

Wine and Romance… A Perfect Combination.

What kind of wine would you pair with a romance novel? Hmmm… so much to consider. The taste, the color, the smell, the feel on the palate, and let’s not forget the nuance of memories, experience, and the heart.

As writers we’re asked to put words to experiences all the time, but this will be a fun, playful exercise of words and wine.

Believe me, we haven’t forgotten the other genres– thrillers? sci-fi? fantasy? horror?

Why not use all your senses and experience the blending of wine and writing.

During the Wine Country Writers’ Festival, Time Family of Wines will be doing a wine tasting for all interested writers and we’ll see what we can create in the pairings of wine and genre!

This experience is included in the registration fee for WCWF registered guests. Make sure you register soon.
