About

The Wine Country Writers’ Festival (WCWF)is all about words. Whether written, spoken, recited, read, thought, or murmured… they all tell a story of something and someone.

Located on the traditional lands of the Sylix Okanagan Nation, the Wine Country Writers’ Festival is held in the heart of wine country in British Columbia, Canada.

This is an annual event with a focus on all types os writers, readers, and creative word thinkers from all genres, ages, levels, and interests.

Our goal is to have a celebration and festival for all who enjoy words regardless of how they’re delivered.

Its for a writer, author, or poet who seek to improve their craft, hone their business know-how, and/or share their latest creations or success.

WCWF is also for readers, story tellers, songsters, and those who think about creating with words but aren’t quite ready.

The festival is for those seeking to discover a new author, get a new book recommendation, make a new word/writer friend, shake hands with a featured author, to share a personal story, or to simply bask in the light of creative energy.

WCWF is about connection and community as we strive to bring together like-minded individuals to garner a sense of support, opportunity and community–all centered around words.

Membership is open to everyone. We welcome your support. You do not have to be a writer, attend the annual festival, or live in the area.
